Alert!
It’s in your field of vision, and you’ve driven by it numerous times. It’s been called the Zig Zag building, the Stack of Books building, the Jenga building. The BU Center for Computing and Data Services is the largest carbon neutral building in Boston, according to BU. It’s universally loved or hated, depending on who you talk to. But have you ever been inside it?
With terraces on every staircase and every three steps leading to a destination for collaboration, Paola Rocha, the design lead architect, put it this way: “This building is about its place, its time, it’s about the people it houses, about being on the river, and connecting to the city.”
We’ll walk there and back along the Charles.
Meet 10 AM on the Commonwealth Mall at Dartmouth Street.
Cost: Free – however we’d love to know how many people to expect, so please RSVP below so we know if we should plan to see you there.
