Clarendon Street Playground Update & Call for Committee Members

At the Clarendon Street Playground, additional work on the tree mound was just completed. Over the years, many of the granite stone setts have been dug up and pried loose, creating a hazard for children. Unfortunately, restoring the paving pattern on the mound was not included in the budget for the renovation of the park.

Many thanks to NABB’s Margaret Pokorny and Steve Gold of Boston Tree, who came up with a plan to restore the paving pattern on the mound by incorporating new flagstones along with the original setts. The cost of this work was approved and paid for by the Friends of the Clarendon Street Playground. We hope the beautifully completed tree mound will provide a safer surface for the children who play there.

We are looking for new committee co-chairs and members to help plan fun events for the playground. If you would like to get involved, please email: playground@nabbonline.org
