Help Boston Collect Stormwater Flood Data

The City of Boston is asking residents to report flooded areas (standing or running water) using the boston.gov survey form.
If you see an area flooded, you can submit your observations by:
- Taking a picture,
- Entering its location and date,
- Supplying optional data such as known prior weather events, water depth, what flooded (road, sidewalk, basement, etc.), how often this area floods.
This survey does not replace calling 311 to deal with the flood. But by entering this information as well, the city can use crowdsourced data to better understand where flooding occurs and look for ways to mitigate it – potentially with green infrastructure.
